Courtenay Recreation Table of Contents

“This Recreation Guide represents the most complete and varied range of pro- grams at Courtenay Recreation since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Activities in Fall 2021 are expected to return to pre-pandemic levels, in line with Step 4 of BC’s Restart Plan planned for September. To prepare for this change, Courtenay Recreation reached out to the commu- nity in June to gauge the priorities and comfort levels of patrons for the progres- sive reopening of facilities, programs, and services. The results of this survey have directly shaped the activities in this guide, and I would like to thank the 750+ respondents who provided us with their feedback. I am so grateful to the staff and patrons at Courtenay Recreation who have con- tinually and rapidly adapted to changing public health guidelines over the past year and a half, as recreation programs and services are so vital to our physical and mental well-being. Recreation staff can’t wait to welcome everyone back to our facilities – to catch up with our regu- lar patrons and build relationships with new ones!”
