INTERMEDIATE AFRICAN DRUMMING Join Monica Hofer, local hand drumming instructor and drum circle facilitator, and get into your weekly ‘groove’! BUCKET DRUMMING This class is for drummers with previous experience. If you’re looking for a class where laughter and rhythm-making combine won- derfully, this is the one for you! The benefits of drumming include decreased stress and balancing of the two hemispheres of the brain; bucket drumming has the added benefit of being accessible to anyone who has a bucket (and who doesn’t?!) and being a whole lot of fun! Participants must bring a bucket (large plastic garbage can or medium sized plastic paint pail) to class. Each class begins with a beautiful Crys- tal singing bowl sound bath, an exploration of topics such as trust, abundance, saying No, power of community, hope and loss. BEGINNERS AFRICAN DRUMMING Drumming in community is good for your physical and mental health, and a great way to balance the left and right hemispheres of the brain. This class is for those new to drumming or those not ready to move to the beyond beginner level. Please contact instructor if unsure. Participants will be required to bring their own drum.
