MINDS IN MOTION (50 years & over)

Minds in Motion® is a fitness and social program for people living with any form of early stage de mentia along with a family mem ber, friend or other care partner. The program is offered in partner ship with the Alzheimer Society of B.C. Gentle exercises are followed by social activities designed to be enjoyed in pairs. Care partners must attend. Learn and drill basic footwork, cuts, thrusts, grappling and slow, free-play. This is a great introduction to HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) and a great way to prepare for joining your local historical fencing club! Are you a runner or hiker with sore knees, physically active and looking for a low impact outdoor fitness sport - why not try Nordic pole walk ing? Nordic pole walking is a total body workout for cardio, strength and flexibility.
