HATHA LEVEL 1 This class will introduce you to the basics of yoga postures and breathing practices. It differs from a Gentle Yoga class by assuming that you have a fundamental level of fitness, as well as no pain in your body. This class will help you develop strength and balance as well as flexibility, while giving you tools for stress reduction. No class May 21. You’ll need to be aware of your breath, and familiar with basic principles of alignment. YIN YOGA Yin Yoga is a quiet, meditative and simple practice. But as you’ll discover, simple doesn’t mean easy. Long held, sometimes prop supported, passive poses target and help release fascia, connec- tive tissue, joints, and deeply held parts of the body – and the mind. Poses are mostly on the floor or low to the ground.
