FUNCTIONAL FITNESS Functional fitness plays a major role in our everyday lives, wheth- er we recognize it or not! In this class, Susan will lead you through exercises that will help support you in all aspects of everyday life. You’ll review basic movements that focus on strength, balance/ coordination, mobility, and range of motion and learn how they can help you in movements such as running, lifting, bending, climbing, walking, standing and so much more. It keeps you upright, allows you to walk without assistance and helps prevent injury. This class will help you find your footing if you’re feel - ing off balance, help you set goals and work towards them! Working through our senses, we will start to find strength in our step. SIMPLY STRENGTH 1 (55 years & over) Exercises will be taught with a variety of equipment to increase balance, range of motion and strength and will help you regain or maintain your ability to climb stairs, get in and out of a chair or car, and maintain your balance while walking and standing.
