Volunteer Opportunities

Who can volunteer? Anyone! seniors, students, moms, dads, men, women... volunteers grow community! What can volunteers do? Anything! childcare, walking, driving, office support, directors, community activities... When can volunteers work? Anytime! an hour here, a few hours there - work it into your own schedule.

Mountainaire Avian Rescue Society MARS HELPING WILDLIFE RECOVER - we need YOUR help working with the public. We are seeking volunteers interested in helping us fund-raise, run events, prepare communications material and assist with educational outreach. MARS volunteers must be 18 years or over. Help us make the Comox Valley barrier free! FMI Heather 250-338-5371 hcrites@courtenay.ca Therapeutic Riding Volunteers needed to assist peoplewithdisabilities: sidewalkers, horse leaders, barnhelpetc. Noexperi- ence necessary, training provided. A desire to help people, workwithhorses,&enjoy a fun social atmo- sphere is required! Positions require some physical ability, e.g. walkingon trails and in the indoor arena. Committing to one hour a week for an 8 - 10 week session is ideal. Sessions runMon-Sat, 8:30am- 6:00 pm. Riders are aged5 andup.
