Riverside Fit Park Getting New Equipment The outdoor fitness area at Riverside Fit Park across from the Florence Filberg Centre will soon have access to brand new equipment.

COURTENAY PARKS

The fit park will offers several accessible fitness stations including:

•Hand cycler •Parallel bars •Stretch bars •Elliptical •Squat press •Chest/back press •Pull-up/dip •Tai Chi wheels •Ab Crunch/Leg Lift •Balance steps •Cardio stepper •Plyometrics •Assisted row/push up

Courtenay Recreation coordinates the use of all parks and school playing fields located in the City of Courtenay. Field Closures: Fields may be closed due to weather conditions. We would appreciate your cooperation in not using the fields during these times. Courtenay Recreation also books the Artificial Turf Field located at GP Vanier. Please note that only limited spaces are available. While the park is open to all, the equipment will be especially well-suited for the life-long needs of older adults, helping maintain and improve mobility, strength, and cardio health. Another benefit of new equipment is that it is designed to be easy to maintain and is well suited for outdoor conditions. Watch for upgraded equipment coming by the end of the year. Examples of upcoming new equipment are featured in photos to the right. Courtenay Park Bookings
