Arts & Crafts BEGINNER LANDSCAPE PAINTING (OILS OR ACRYLICS) The Comox Valley is a beautiful place to paint - let’s learn how! From making your sketch to get- ting the colours right to defining leaves, water and clouds, we’ll cover the skills needed to help you tackle the fun of painting land- scapes on your own. INTRO TO WATERCOLOUR PAINTING

PLEIN AIR Let’s paint outdoors! Each ses- sion starts with an easy to follow demonstration on an important aspect of plein air painting, in- cluding getting the drawing down, steps to a great painting, following the lights, atmospheric perspec- tive and capturing the feel of the landscape. Watercolour is amazing for creat- ing evocative landscapes, whether misty valleys, still, reflecting water, or lighter than air cloudscapes. This class will cover dropping in colour, layering washes, using opaque with transparent colour, masking whites, drawing and brushwork. Let’s have some fun and create a painting you’ll love. Teresa Knight Teresa has been painting and drawing all her life, starting as a child making art with her sisters on rainy days. She was an artist in Toronto in the 80s, working at galleries to support herself. After a volunteering stint in Africa teaching art, she studied Art and Education at the University of British Columbia. She loves to teach, and help others enjoy the creative process! She has exhibited in several galleries, and her works have found ‘homes’ all over the world. Teresa’s life goal is to help animals
