MCFD SUMMER CAMP SUPPORT

Families who have children getting services through the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) are eligible for support in our Summer Camp Programs for ages 6-18 years. These programs are for children/youth who have additional support considerations and are wanting to attend camp. Please contact the local Children and Youth with Special Needs (CYSN) office at 250-334-5820 to see if your child/youth is eligible as a letter from CYSN is required for registration. Only children/ youth with an intellectual disabili- ty, autism, or who receive services through the At Home program are eligible for CYSN services. Leisure Buddies Is there a camp that your child is interested in but requires ad- ditional help to better support them? Does your child have sup- port at school? If yes, our Leisure Buddy program may be able to provide support to your child/ youth. Please contact the Adaptive & Inclusive Program Supervisor to discuss how we can best support you in our camps. Thank you to the Comox Valley Community Foundation and CVRD for their ongoing support that allows us to offer affordable pro - gramming options for inclusion in Courtenay Recreation programs.
