YIN YOGA: POWER IN STILLNESS Are you on a fast train? Ready to get off and breathe? In Yin Yoga, you will enter poses - mostly on the floor - and stay a while observ - ing strong sensations, while allow- ing your breath to help you access deeper layers of dense connective tissue, like ligaments, tendons, and fascia. The long-held, passive poses will help you become more flexible, with juicier joints and better functioning organs. You might become calmer, and better able to focus: a gift in our world of constant distraction. Yin Yoga is an excellent complement to other forms of Yoga. Come home to your body in a profound and satisfying way. Instructor: Catherine Reid #6735 Fridays April 9 - June 25 10:45 - 11:45 am Lewis MP Hall $126/12 HATHA YOGA WITH KIM (16 years & over) In this noon hour yoga class you will work on three main areas; breathing technique, reducing stress and promoting relaxation throughout the body and mind. Your instructor will lead you through various poses to help in- crease your balance, strength and flexibility while offering variations and modifications if needed. This class is for all levels and a great option for beginners. Instructor: Kim Johnson #6851 Tuesdays

Physical postures are practiced to align, strengthen and promote flexibility. Breathing techniques and meditation are also integrated in this class. An overall sense of balance is the goal as we target a full sweep of the body’s range of movements including standing, seated and prone/supine pos- tures. Variations offered allow you the freedom to decide what suits your yoga practice and to deepen your understanding of the pos- tures, breathing and relaxation techniques. Previous yoga practice is helpful but not necessary; all levels welcome.
