years, with a nearly 50% increase to residential construction in 2021 over 2020. Commercial construction values increased fivefold between 2019 and 2021. Notable building permits in recent years include: • Ocean Village long-term care (congregate care) facility at 2900 Cliffe Avenue with a permit value of $42.5 million. • Lake Trail School seismic upgrades, with permit value of $19 million. Both permits were issued in 2020 and construction is ongoing.
