In this Issue...

A s the holiday season approaches and the new year draws near, our community has

plenty of exciting opportunities to stay active, engaged and connected. Whether you’re setting fitness

resolutions or looking for ways to keep your family entertained, this season’s Recreation Guide has something for everyone. Kick-off the new year by joining us for the 48th annual Polar Bear Swim at Goose Spit on January 1, 2025. It’s a fun and exhilarating way to dive into the new year - quite literally! Whether you’re braving the icy waters or cheering on the participants, this is a community tradition not to be missed. Also, don’t forget to mark your calendars for our annual Family Day celebration on Monday, February 17, 2025. If you’re looking for ways to stay invigorated during the winter months, our award-winning Fitness Studio offers classes and programs designed to help you achieve your health and well being goals. Our facility is recognized for excellence and provides access to resourceful staff who are there if you want support or are looking to have your questions answered. For families, we have a range of winter break programs, including the Adventure Camps running from December 30 - January 3, where kids can enjoy outdoor adventures, games and crafts. And check out the Comox Youth Art & Media Exhibit throughout February, with a special “Meet the Artists” night on Friday, February 28, all happening at the Community Centre. As we look forward to a healthy and active 2025, I encourage you to explore all that our recreation services have to offer. Here’s to a fantastic winter season filled with fun, fitness and community spirit.
