plunging into the chilly waters or cheering from the shore, it’s always a memorable event to start the New Year! Families will find plenty of options this winter. Our Early Years Parent Speaker Series is designed for parents of children from birth to seven years, featuring engaging topics, fun supervised activities for kids, and even dinner. Young artists can explore new skills with our expanded lineup of children’s arts programs, including dance, acting, and graphic design. Don’t forget the CYC Youth Art & Media Exhibit at the Community Centre, February 27. For adults and families alike, the award-winning Community Centre is the place to make fitness resolutions a reality. We offer personal training options for every fitness need and the popular Group Fitness Flex program, which allows you to drop in to as many as eight classes per week. Finally, don’t miss the chance to connect directly with our recreation team. The Programmers’ Open House will be held on November 13, 2025, in the lobby from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. and 5:00 to 6:30 p.m., when staff will be available to answer your questions about programs and services. As we look forward to a healthy, active, and creative 2026, I encourage you to take part in all that our recreation services have to offer. Here’s to a fantastic winter season filled with fun, fitness, and community spirit.
