REGISTERED ICE PROGRAMS Ice skating is a great way to get exercise, meet people and have fun. To learn the basics of skating, it is important to start out on the right ‘foot’ by taking a few lessons. On-ice instruction prevents the development of bad habits, improves confidence and helps to master the basic techniques. Learning to skate also develops coordination, poise and good posture. Getting started takes only a little knowl edge and plenty of enthusiasm! For ice program fees see page.
