Original 2023-2026 timeline impacted by Provincial Housing Legislative Deadline. This collaboration will look for ways to support local agricultural producers and food security. Making progress on the policies outlined in the OCP, this initiative will aim to increase access to affordable, healthy, locally sourced food outlets and growing opportunities within walking distance. This initiative aims to protect agricultural lands and traditional foods, promoting sustainable food systems as integral components of social infrastructure and local economic development within the OCP framework. Related land uses will be considered in the zoning bylaw update and reflected in future updates to the OCP.

Engage with agricultural community and Food Policy Council to identify needs and support relevant Official Community Plan (OCP) policies.
