Meet Laura Hello readers of the Adapted Program Newsletter! My name is Laura McGrath and I am the new Adapted & Inclu- sive Programming Supervisor with the City of Courtenay’s Rec- reation department. I am delighted and grateful to be in this role in such an amazing community. Here is a little bit about myself: I grew up on beautiful Prince Edward Island then moved to rug - ged Newfoundland where I completed my Bachelor of Recre- ation from Memorial University. Continuing the trend of living solely on islands, I sought the allure of the West Coast and chose Vancouver Island as my new home. I lived in Victoria for close to 4 years and have loved this island with all of its offer - ings, then was very excited to have the opportunity to move to the beautiful Comox Valley. I am a lover of the outdoors, na- ture, and wildlife, as well as music, dancing, and having a good laugh. I am eager and excited to get to know the people of this amaz- ing community and provide quality experiences and opportuni- ties for the residents of the Comox Valley!
